Some ELEY wasps weren't ELEY wasps Towards the end of the .177 ELEY production period I think they used inferior pellets in their tins. I have several tins where the pellets inside differ from the "original spec" ELEY wasps that went before.

Has anyone else found this ?

Here are some of the incorrect .177 pellets I was on about

ELEY on the tin, but NOT ELEY in the tin

Perhaps they were early Rothery production put into left over ELEY tins???

Here is a photo comparison of old and new. The old ones (ie original ELEY wasps) on the left, and the new Rothary "Wasps" on the right.

So it looks like IMI on the tin is what to look for !
a gun is just a tool how its used is dependant on the person behind the trigger .
This is why constant restrictions on legal users will have no effect on the unlawfull use of guns or knives !
