Have a look at the 1911 guns and ammo special (its in WHSmiths) there are some very lovely 1911's in there and lots of ideas for customising.
Set Bazookoids to kill stuff and mount. We're going in!

Ordered some black checkerd ebony grips off the bay, but have remembered I have some houge rubber ones on a HW 45s that I might have to give a go. Also bidder on some GI issue grips on flee bay before realising they are plastic, guess I have some choice.
