    Webley Senior with shoulder stock

Webley Senior with shoulder stock, this was sold at Bonningtons auction as an original shoulder stock made by Webley, but as was pointed out on here Webley didn't do one, now back up on their next auction but now saying with just a shoulder stock, so the original buyer did not buy/pay for it.

They haven't dropped the estimate of £400-600 though, which presumably reflects what the seller thinks its worth, or reflects what the seller hopes a buyer might think its worth.

One would have hoped the provenance would have been proven, or otherwise, before the item was offered for sale in the first place.

I would like to see, in photographs, how the stock is fixed to the pistol.

I wouldn't bother. Although the concept might be attractive, this particular execution isn't! Like you - more than a little surprised that anyone could have looked at this and considered it 'original'

Unfortunately, that original sale picture does not show the fixture in detail.
