depends on usage.....make sure you can cock it fully and it holds as the sears can wear down and it fails to cock

Yes, I got Jeff Tanner to make me a mould. Kranks do sell .463 balls though.
The chambers on the competition model are .457 so .457 balls just drop in so you can't use them.
It has the standard notch rearsight but the foresight is dovetailed for windage adjustment.
You can buy different size spouts for the pedersoli flasks.

It did seem to hold at full cock ok.

I don't think the front sight was adjustable for windage,
I will check the chambers when I pick it up.

What year was your competition model made Daz?

Just had another look at the revolver, it does have the dovetailed sight at the front.

The nipples all look good and the chamber looks right for a .454 ball

Just had the revolvler confirmed as the competition model by pietta, they checked the serial number agaisnt their records, so very happy with that!

Its going to probably be a couple of weeks before I can get it to the range to try it out, so that will be a long wait but I will post how I get on with it when I go.

Ive just seen a dealer advertising a competition Pietta for £600+
second hand,I would have expected a 51% share of the company for that. Are they really worth the difference?
