Sussex Interclub HFT Round 4 Results

Hi all

BIG thanks to the Buxom Boys for setting a very challenging course and for fogetting to switch the breeze off.

After my ‘crash’ in the wind at Ford the other week, I can say that I was very pleasantly surprised (and relieved) to find myself back at a level of form which I rarely these days remember to pack in my shooting-bag. Looks like Pat and one of our Primary Class youngsters – the on-form Ryan – had their share of it too. Good shooting one and all.

Well,I turned up,thought I'd do a bit of plinking,and found that my zero was gone Thanks to Ben for spotting the barrel band was pushing against the barrel,shame I didn't think of that BEFORE I tried to re zero it lol.... So shot the course with an unzeroed rifle,and the wind was a tad challenging as well lol. Thanks to Nigel for the company,and congrats on another GOLD !! So,all in all not a bad day,I shoot for the fun and the company anyway, I hit ALL targets except for one,and managed to put down a couple in the field with the force 9 gale lol Need to re zero and try again at Round 5.

Well the last pellet has been shot and as the tears role down sponge bobs face the Hobbits cheer with glee.
What a great day was had by all.
Wind was up and so were a lot of targets too.
Looks familiar.

Great shooting Mike, Tony, Steve, Andrew and Bob and of course Pat and young Ryan - a star in the making methinks!

Brilliant course, by jove I was having a touch of the grumps after losing lots in the field and then struggling to regain form back in the woods. All credit to young Josh who was also finding it tough but kept a grin on his face - taught me a lesson

Benchrest was great fun, much harder than it looks, look forward to seeing the results - Steve and I had to do a rapid along the last five

Loved the course though it never liked me (i am very misunderstood!...)

Lot of work went into that Buxted, thankyou for a great day, you all shot well and the benchrest was Very interesting!

Anyway you are all hairy toed spastics that should be extinct with all the other Dinosaurs / Goblins and the like!!....that's better..

We will put a BR team together to show you how it is really done!

Some excellent results shot in a tricky wind and I hope this has inspired a few future competitors.
John McDonald took 1st honours in the Silly-wets and Andy Simpson a respectable 2nd.
A cracking day, a good laugh and the weather was kind ..... in some respects.
