With the fas I think the napier looked best on the results but these pellets are oiled with the power lube and look sharp compared to the rws. Also checked the hw75 with the hobby and was about 422 ft/s 2.78 ft lbs and just for a laugh the jumbo is 300 ft/s 1.4 ft lbs with the same pellets.

The RWS Hobbys give a good result with the FAS, I will buy them in future.

I am fairly new here and doing my best to read the forum before asking questions that have been asked before!

Just thought it was worth a reply. I do hope the lovely FAS was left well alone to do what it does well and not tuned to 5.9 ftlbs with a big old twangy spring spitting pellets in all directions!

Unlikely my friend the FAS is a single stroke pneumatic target pistol.

    The story continues.
I love the FAS just the way it is, but did get a SGS DUO which is a cross between the FAS and HW45, in that it has the big twangy spring and the sleek looks of the FAS. Not much love for these around as they seem to always go wrong but that's the fun with Italian engineering.

Is that not what Dr Beeman had planed for the HW45 before the Germans added the spring?
