    Dear All

What size are the 2 bolts for the front of the stock on the BSA Cadet?

    Thanks
    Matty

    Hi Matty,

Sorry to say I have no idea what size your screws are..However they are Probably either Otto Bicycle thread...Or what they maybe,or could be, is the Tread Size of Enfield..As there are a loads of SMLE's in NZ...Why not look at Spare Screws from Enfield Rifles..as they (BSA) started production of the Cadet and Cadet Major after WW2 ...They may have utilised what came to hand around the Factory after-all they were probably still making Enfield's...

    Good Luck

I am sure they do have them D-i-D but for about 3 quid each

I buy a lot from chambers - the specialist parts of course.

I really can't, however, bring myself to pay 2 quid for an O-ring and 3 quid for a bolt

    cadet bolts

pretty sure that these are 7/32 bsf. Not a common size at all. I know that you can buy a die that size but it would probably be near £20? Maybe one of the engineer types on here could start knocking some up by turning down something more common?
Please dont fit metric screws or tap out the holes

    Just to prove the point:

Chambers are currently out of stock of Cadet front stock screws but when they do have them in they are asking £7.73 EACH plus postage
