You is using the wrong pellets matey!

They are very pellet fussy!......mine loves SMK Spitfires would you believe!!

    Try some different pellets.

    Cheers.

Your right there, I was using Bisley Practice and happy with one jam every 100-120 pellets.

It's a 50 year old gun so was so thought it was normal but switched to SMK Spitfires and am now 3000 pellets in without a jam.

    Thanks guys,

I'll check out the SMK Spitfires - I'd previously been using the recommended Hobby and 5.5mm Wasps (my stock is now rather depleted).

Spitfires are utter rubbish, they might feed ok but I can't imaging them being that accurate. I've got a magazine-fed pistol (Record Champion) that operates most reliably with Milbro Match flatheads and they are reasonably accurate in it too, maybe worth a try?

I think the record champion is the only spring repeating pellet pistol and I would have loved to see this developed more. I recon the rate of fire might be a bit slower than the crossman 600.

Proper pistols, it's got to be the BSA Scorp'

CO2 it's a tie. Either the Crossman 600 or the Drulov Condor. The only gun I regret selling is the Condor. Fantastic fun with the right pellets

Harper Wolf - but with trigger activated rotating cylinder (as opposed to manual indexing) - plus extended barrel to take silencer and ability to take a stock (either like the crossman style carbine or slide-on / holster style of Browning Hi-Power or Mauser Bolo).

Harper wolf is a bit of a rare beast, looked it up on the web as not in the blue book and have seen one with removable wire stock and replacement barrel plus tube extention to turn into rifle. Don't know if this is custom or made to order, but does look the job. Not sure about the button trigger mind.

Any Brocock TAC gun, Safari, Predator, any of the pistols. Very sorry to here they are Sec 5.

They were a little fiddly but I would get one again in a heart beat especially a Specialist or Orion.

Spookily conincidental that one just like you describe (apart from the auto indexing) turns up in the collectables section for sale?

Can remember thinking shame about the 30p on/off switch at the time and it doesn't look any better now
