    Bushnell Legend 5-15x40 v AGS Swat 4-16x56?

I've noticed that the Legend is available from Daystate at much the same price as the SWAT. The latter would actually work out more expensive as I'd have to buy 30mm mounts as well.

My instinct is to go for the Bushnell. Anybody care to talk me out of it?

Is it true that the Legend will focus at full x15 magnification at 10 yards?

    Regards

    Arthur

Don't know the Bushnell but I do know it's AO won't be as easy to use as the SWAT sidewheel (unless you are left handed). The SWAT is unbelievable value for money. Bright and clear optics, lifetime warranty. I have 2 and may be about to buy a 3rd.

Plenty of S/H 30mm rings about.

    Same value..??

I would never pay more then £100 for the SWAT 4-16x56, the Legend is a much more expensive scope.

SWAT is excellent value for money but there is no reason for me to pay Legend money for it.

Just realised where Arthur is. "Leapers Accushot 4-16x56 SWAT" it is then.

Though getting a mil-dot scope sent to Saudi from the US is a project that stands little chance of happening.....

Can't get anything like that here, Baldie.

As a foreigner, I wouldn't even be able to buy a GAT.

Having used both the bushnell is far better than the ags the ags has to many dots spaced to far apart for any real use

if it is for hunting i would then say the ags as its huge front end will give you more time at dawn and dusk but for targets or a mixture of both it has to be the bushnell

I can only indulge my interest in airguns when I'm on leave in Britain.

Any purchases I make by mail order are sent to my UK address. That way I have something to look forward to when I go home.

I've got most of what I need now, but I'm still short of a scope for my Harrier, and I come on this forum to get advice, and keep in touch with my hobby.

    Cool.

    I still think the SWAT.

And I'm not the only one. Have a look at at some of the member sig's. I'm surprised at just how popular they are. Perfect air rifle scope IMO.

Baldie, given the amount of NV shooting you do, the SWAT is better..

    I'd have to second that
