    Sealed Bid Auction

I just had a look at some of the prices realised by a few of the lots I would have liked to be able to afford to bid on in the last Holts sealed bid auction. It made interesting reading.
    Webley Senior (fair condition) £80
2x Webley .410 BA shotguns (good condition) £48, the pair.
FWB Sport (looked good in pics) £76
    Relum Telly (looked good) £20
    Haenel 303 (looked v good) £20
    Webley Jauar (nice one), unsold
Webley Tempest 177 (faded writing, but otherwise good) £40
Diana (British) Mod 25 177 (fair to good), unsold.
Myself, I managed to secure a Crosman 1300 in v. good condition for a £40 bid.
All the above are hammer prices.

    Holts Sale

Normally after the sealed bit sale Holts sell the unsold lots online for a fixed price plus comm.

Saw a Original 27 in .177 circa 1972 on there for £40 plus comm.

Remember pictures of guns always flatter.

If one of the unsold lots takes your fancy, it's worth waiting for the next sale and putting a bid in. Of course, the down side to this is that either someone will out bid you, or it will be sold as an unsold lot in the meantime.
