BSA Martini - International MkIII - Price check

    Hi guys,

Can anyone give me an idea what I might expect to get for the attached rifle? I bought it a few months ago with the intention of doing some prone shooting but never got 'round to it.

    BSA Mk3 International

    Mark,
I have seen a range of prices from £100 to £350 (London dealer). Is the blueing in good condition as the photos (flash effect) may have reduced the effect of the finish on the barrel and receiver?
What is the serial number as it looks like an early rifle?
    regards
    HM

    HM,

The blueing isn't great to be honest. The serial number is UF479.

    Cheers,

    Hi. Mark
Your BSA International was introduced in 1961 and it has a fully free floating barrel as the fore-end is mounted on a aluminium rail instead of the barrel and action.
This model produced the best groups at 100 yards of any of the BSA Internationals at .75 inch 10 shot groups and a lot of modern target rifles would be pushed to beat this.
Value £100-£150 sold privately, if sold to a dealer you can half these values.
