The Webley .25 pellets that would have been used at the time the .25 Service was produced, would have been supplied in card boxes such as these, and they are indeed very scarce.

Just a guess but I reckon about 1945 and as for the .25 pellets, well I have only ever seen two genuine boxes and they are probably in the post above.
Is you rifle of the .25 calibre ?
hi guys my boxed service has all 3 barrels with gun oil tin insruction book spares list and prices for 1937 allso webley tin of 177, webley tin of .22 but a cardboard box for .25
same as troubleshooter has so should the 177/22 be in cardboard boxes?
thanks for input john
No, the .177 and .22 pellets should be in green or orange oblong tins respectively, preferably with the 'Weaman Street' address.
If it's an original cardboard box for the Service, there will only be one section for a single barrel, so at least one of the others will be loose in the box, with the other in the same space as the original barrel, but hopefully separated by wrapping.
What type of oil can is with it ?
Pictures would help.
