    2011 summer sizzler

It's that time again folks, when we just can't seem to sort a date different to the Midland

For those not going to the game fair but fancying a bit of a shoot, this years Summer Sizzler takes place at Popham Woods on Sunday 18th Sept.

As last year, it will be a 50 shot CLASSIC HFT, so expect the usual "fun"

There will be a shotgun start at 10am so please arrive in plenty of time to sign in and grab a bacon roll.

Entry will be £10 per head (£5.00 juniors) to include a bonus bunny prize fund.

Trophies to 3rd place in open, recoiling and junior grades plus top .22

Hope to see you all there.

    Regards

Bob, Neil and the outdoor team.

SO21 3SP is the code for the Little Chef restaurant only a few hundred yards to the west of the entrance to the field where you park. Just remember that you have to be on the EASTbound carriageway

Sticks & crap in the way, IIRC, if you can see 80% of the target you are lucky

Hopefully there will be air on the course for all the shooters....otherwise it could be a very short comp! ...Sorry...
There isn't normally air 'supplied' at comps, though somebody may be there with the same set up?
Failing that i shall have a bottle but only a Walther or daystate adapter, if you can screw your adapter on you are welcome to some air!

One not to miss this...or should i say, one most will be missing.....

    Hi guys

You can refill no probs. I assume you will have your own bottle. You can also take a break to get lunch but obviously no fiddling with rifles inbetween!

Classic HFT is what we've loosely termed the traditional form of HFT we have shot in the CSFTA region since circa 1994. Best analogy is this is off-piste to UKAHFT's on-piste style courses. Yes there will be some crap to work around but all targets are gettable.

You also will find that you can't get all the shots off the peg. We don't have designated lanes as a rule but the position will dictate the shot taken.

Generally all good fun and a real test of ability.

    Hoping to make this.

Should be some fun or torment by the sounds of it, will look forward to the shoot.

You won't need 15mm reducers to sort the men from the boys The course will do that

Its very back to basics mate, no set distance for a given target, generally targets are within 8-45, apart from those which aren't

    Hi Heather

I've been away the past couple of weeks soaking up the Cornish sunshine so not had much access to the bbs.

As always, we'd be pleased to see you Oxies down here, even if you do keep nicking the trophies

Sames goes for anyone else coming along!
