    Geco mod 58r wont cock

    Hello I have changed the piston washer in my gun put it back together and now it wont cock when you pull the barrel down its not locking is this a trigger problem any help would appreciated

    I do not know this rifle but as a start I suggest you strip the action again and remove the mainspring. Reassemble without the mainspring and mount rifle so that you can break the barrel and try to cock it ... looking carefully to see if the trigger engages and, if it will not, why ... is the cocking link not pushing the piston back far enough?
    Not being able to cock is often a fault of a new mainspring or too much pre-load on the spring. I take it you did not add any washers etc into the piston or over the spring guide when you reassembled the rifle, that all trigger spring(s) are correctly placed and that the trigger housing is correctly fitted to the action.

    Thanks for that I will have a look. the gun is the same as original 35s

    just had a look and missing the housing spring on the piston guide new one on the way hopefully thats it
