As a lot of you know, I play around with a lot of olde crap guns and sometimes ask for help with the bits and pieces ( still not sorted with the cadet major bits yet ----hint) on here. I have had a lot of crap guns through my hands and it has been interesting and a cheapish, useful way to do the "idiots guide". BUT are there any guns that you are a sucker for?
I reckon I have 2 weaknesses with them (1) Bsa scorpions (2) Webley falcons. The trouble is the more crappy they are the more I want adopt them. I have a soft spot for most abused guns 20- 100 years old but these two tug at my heart strings. I did really well not phoning about the falcon on gunstar the other day.
had 3 really rough falcons off here and a few rough scorpions as well. My favourite is a rough old thing but I love plinking with it. It has decent open sights on it but if you saw it you would not want to pay more than about £30 for it---not that it is for sale.
Sp what are yours?

my soft spot has got to be with the relums ,,,,i have 2 tornado,s but had the break barrel one but passed it on as it was needing lots of work , i just did not get the time , but ad one years ago and remember with the spring we stuck anything into it as long as it would load then swapped the barrel for a 177 , was approx 34 years ago that gun must have been a bit over the limit if there was one at that time but it took some real abuse ,,,,,
i also love my crossman 2200 magnum which i just bought
and i seen one of these handguns the other day which i had but i also had the metal rod stock which came with it , was a cougar , not sure the make but came across a pic of one the other day ,,,,still cant remember what happened to it MILBRO COUGAR

WEBLEY SERVICE Mk2 Rifles are my weakness, Got my first one for £7 in 1956(aged 16),long gone(very sad story) Got back into airguns about 3years ago, since then i have bought- series 2, in 22, series 3 in 22, cased series 3 with 177 and 22 matched barrels, series 3 in 22,and a series 3 in 25.I am now considering Mk2 aversion therapy,(available on the NHS i believe) but i think i am to far gone for help.I hope this is a warning to other Mk2 addicts.( leaving more Mk2,s for me to buy)ATB Ray.
Im particularly fond of the early weihrauch springers, especially the 77's and 80's
My weakness is older 10 meter rifles....

I keep wanting to buy any Feinwerkbau 300 rifles that I see advertised. They are the perfect shooting machine, and the power restriction is the only down-side.
I feel the same about BSA Meteors, brilliant, cheap guns, and although the power is not a problem, the heavy trigger is.
The Webley Hawk Mk 3 is one of the most horrible guns ever made and on a level with the B2. I could not get attached to one of those things ever, and it is a tribute to Guy's generous spirit (in an engineering sense) that they are favoured and fettled by him. Even a Relum Tornado has the virtue of robust construction, while the Hawk 3 is an accident waiting to happen. Webley's lowest moment.
My main weakness is pre-WW2 air rifles.
Oh, and post-WW2 ones.

In British slang an anorak is a person who has a very strong interest in niche subjects.
It's just got to be Feinwerkbau Sports for me - and FWB target rifles - and HW35's - and Sharps,Sheridans,Benjamins etc;etc. and Uncle Tom Cobly's and all, and.
Why did you have to start this thread Guy?

Demic, miserable, grumpy old git! Feinwerkbau Sport Appreciation Society.
I don't mind what sexual, religious or political persuasion you are, just don't impose them on me!!
Obviously prewar B.S.A.'s.......and Airsporter MK 1's......although I don't own a Mk 1 at the mo.....Have had a few, but a really nice example of a Club is the one I am waiting for
I'm a sucker for good engineering, interesting engineering and quirky engineering so my fascination for SSP rifles and CO2 pistols is logical if not sensible
