    Bugger, that is spooky, not 30 seconds ago on another thread I asked Cliff if he had heard from him lately .

    I never met Rod, but his humour and stoic determination were an inspiration .

    Having watched my previous wife die a horrible death from cancer at just 33, I am glad Rod is not suffering any longer

    Thanks for letting us know Baz.
    When I look back, the fondest memory I have is not really of the Goons. It is of a girl called Julia with enormous breasts.

    Didn't know Rod but he seemed to be a man of enormous courage and humour under adversity.

    I'm truly sorry to hear this Baz. The admin and Rod have had their disagreements in the past, but I can feel nothing but the greatest admiration and respect for the sheer guts, determination and even humour he showed throughout the course of his illness.

    My thoughts are with his friends and family.
