    Oh Shit!

Only just seen this. Rod was a true fighter and looked at his crappy situation while laughing in the face of adversity (as true pongoes do) Rod.. RIP Mate. (never knew you but respected you, BIG style)

A poem by Brian Terry died in combat dedicated to you.

"I have kept myself in peak physical condition, schooled myself in martial arts, and have become proficient in the application of combat tactics. You may defeat me, but you would be lucky to escape with your life. You may kill me, but I am willing to die if necessary. I have been close enough to it on enough occasions that it no longer concerns me. But I do fear the loss of my honor, and would rather die fighting than to have it said that I was without courage.

Heck! Haven't been around this way for a long time but it seems each time I do, I find another member of the "Old Guard" has departed our company.

Never really posted much with Greenmachine back in the day but always enjoyed his input on the forum. I can only concur with everything that has already been posted in tribute to him. Truly a measure of the man and a mark of the respect in which he was held.

Have lost a few good friends to the Big C myself over the past year. Its not nice and it never gets any easier dealing with it. My heart goes out to those nearest and dearest to him.

    Belated condolences. Rest peacefully.
