Truly saddened.
Truly saddened.
Didnt know him personally, apart from him being one of the bbs `characters`.Just done a search through past posts of his, and a more humble, grass roots shooter, you couldnt hope to meet.Off the cuff comments about himself and what were really very serious problems brought a tear to the eye.A propper `wild thing`.
Rest in peace buddy.
Andy.
as said many times before on this sad thread . .
never met rod but i feel he was a good friend to many on here that had never met him either . he fought with dignity ,he fought with pride . many would have given up long before the disease won.
he was a braver man than i could ever be
R.I.P ROD
Very sad news, followed greenmachine's threads, and my Wife always wanted to know any updates,a Man who fought and had dignity to the end.
Please convey our condolences to Rod's family.
It took a long time to get this high up the food chain.......and now you want me to eat vegetables
I met Rod a few years ago at a Canterbury airgun club, only spoke to him for a couple of minutes, but even in that short time he came across as a gentleman of character. The fortitude he displayed on here did him great credit.

How sad. Another of the old guard gone.
I didn't know him personally, but in my short time here I did chat with him on a number of occasions on the BBS. He was an inspirationally tought character and a gentleman to boot.
My heartfelt condolences go out to his friends and family.
RIP
Another one of the BBS legends bites the dust. His fortitude should be an inspiration to all. RIP
