Very, very sad. I read all of his posts and I am sorry I missed his passing. A very courageous man indeed, may he rest in peace.

My sincere sympathy to his family.

    As per the threads elsewhere.....

Tomorrow morning is the funeral of Rod, Greemachine, who passed away last Saturday.

From the tribute thread, it is clear that his bravery, courage and forbearance through his illness was an inspiration to many of us.

As a mark of respect, the BBS will be offline tomorrow morning, 10:30 to 11:00, the approximate duration of the funeral service.

We invite all members to spend a few moments in remembrance, and to consider those he leaves behind.

Very sad to read this news. Knew from his posts that he was not a well man. Another good man lost to that awful disease. +RIP Greenmachine

Like many on here I remember meeting Rod at the early HFTs.

He will be missed on here.

Condolances to his family and friends.

Sorry lads had no puter for a few weeks and missed out on this although Sir Clifford told me the bad new and was in tears when he told me.

May I put onto this thread the small poem I have on the bottom of my posts on all the forums I use. This beautiful poem was written by a fighter pilot during the Battle of Britain, but I feel works for Rod and the man that he was very well.

THERE IS A LIFE IN PEACE AND STRIFE THAT WE ALL HAVE TO LIVE. WE GIVE OUR BEST THEN GO TO REST WHEN WE'VE NO MORE TO GIVE.

    Rest in peace Rod.
