    Info on meopta scope needed

Can anyone elaborate on this scope.
    Is it worth much
The turret caps have an emblem that looks like edgar brothers
it says made in czechoslovakia and has the number 20591 stamped on it.
Its 4x32 and th turret adjustments are in increments of 1 click = 1cm at 100m.
I'll not tell how much I paid for it yet

    Pictures here

    Thanks Liam

    Comparable quality to Kahles, etc
    4A ret
Brilliant scopes for the money approx £150 new.
    S/h £40 to £100.
For rimfire use but can easily be brought down to airgun ranges.

Seriously good scopes are Meopta. Only a gnats pube away from the very best in the world and you'll need the eyes of a hawk to actually tell the difference. So if your the wrong side of 18 your ageing eyes won't know the difference between this and the very best.

    Good buy that

The "scale" is for range finding ,for example if you know that a deer body is say 400 mm wide you can estimate the approx range to be 100,200 300 yrds etc .depending on the size of the beast when veiwed through the scope.
Bear in mind full bore rifles are not as range critical as air rifles.

Good scopes even the older ones which is what you have purchased ,I think I paid about £100 8-10 years ago for one the same new at Target Sports in Bolton.

    Enjoy it

I wonder if I am late in replying to this post but Meopta is the name for telescopes and binoculars made by Metro Optical of Czechoslovakia. Some years ago my father's company in India used to import optical blanks and flints from them for manufacturing spectacle lenses and we had imported some binoculars and opera glasses as well. Their quality is excellent and the products are quite cheap though they may look a little crudely finished.

You would definitely not regret buying them.

    Good hunting!
