    Witnessed

Tanfoglio Witness 1911 has arrived early

Like it no end and it fits my stumpy fingers a treat, unlike the Beretta 92FS that Bobski let me fondle, Got mine from Kibworth Gunshop for Quids 79,

Managed to degas my first 12 gram age related?

Have found that you need to empty the mag as if you top up part way through, you find a BB is in the breech when you go to reinsert the mag,

I made a small steel rod and covered it in soft plastic tape just in case I do it again?

Has a smooth bore brass barrel which I cleaned a lot of storage gunk out of with a soft cotton .177 mop on a brass rod,

It is very accurate at six yards, will take it up the range to play more,

    Cheers All, Bernard.

    My mistake it was
a gun is just a tool how its used is dependant on the person behind the trigger .
This is why constant restrictions on legal users will have no effect on the unlawfull use of guns or knives !

Glad you like it, unlike some other BB pistols this feeds the BB into the breech like the real 1911. If you do not fire it dry the BB will drop out if you turn the gun upside down and move the action. Clear it like you would a real firearm as leaving a pellet in the breech and inserting a gassed but empty magazine could be dangerous.

I tend to fire it dry everytime because I love the slide locking back.

Looking all the better with the spare mags in the box

If you were to have a "best looking air pistol" comp the witness would be right up there

    hammer adjustment

I have noticed a grubscrew with a allen key head where the hammer hits, is this adjustable? I haven't moved it yet as I am not sure if the slide could be adversely affected on recoil.

no the firing pin is a fake and is just there to attach the blow back mechanism. The actual hammer that hits the firing valve is in side the back grip of the pistol. There is a Canadian web site which talked about changing the valve to a different one but i think it turn out to be a PITA but i have not checked the web site for a while.
Set Bazookoids to kill stuff and mount. We're going in!
