    Hi JG,

I can also confirm that it is quick and easy to buy spare parts direct from Feinwerkbau.

They have excellent English speaking staff who I have found very friendly and helpful - but it pays to download the manual for the weapon you need the part for as the part number will be needed.

    Ooops!

The above message was posted twice by mistake - but since I have this slot I may as well add the obvious caution to check the delivery cost relevent to the cost of the spare parts you are buying.

Small parts are no problem in an air mail envelope, but heavy and bulky parts have caused me a slight problem just after DHL stopped "officially" handling air weapons as this also included spare parts for air weapons too.

Feinwerkbau must have sorted this by now and found an alternative carrier to work with, but it is always wise to ask how much the delivery cost will be before handing over the card number!

Confirmed Euro15 for mailing registered from Germany...

....parts , are parts, so coming from Europe into UK, is a non issue for any "pressure parts" ( UK restriction only when ordering from long distant shops in UK for parts) ....and per diagram, those parts appear to be for the untrained eye, as washing machine, or drill tool parts ....and most importantly, all kosher

Will photo the parts and package when received ...and will try and order other parts next time from Fwb....already have a full quote from Fwb for a large order...just didn't go through with it, and price differential is same or negligeable. Chose these guys as they do other gun makes and parts.

    Thanks JG,

The supplier you are using may also be a useful contact for some Original Model 75 parts I may be needing soon.

I will give them a try - I have not had the need to buy any Original parts before, so I am unaware of who the UK specialist for these older models is - or if we have anyone here that does them.

I may ask on the forum at a later date when I know exactly what I need as there are a fair few Model 6 and 10 pistols in use, and a lot of Model 65, 66 and 75 rifles as well, so I suspect somebody holds the genuine spare parts fpr them.

I ordered some 300S parts from FWB this morning - no problems with the small parts and the postage was as "cheap as chips", but I also wanted a quote for a new barrel for my P44 pistol, and although the price was (surprisingly) OK, the delivery cost was around 100 euros!

Seems like the factory has not recovered from the DHL problem yet and are staying strictly to the new DHL ruling - if its an air weapons part then they will not ship it - even my spare P44 pistol barrel, so I had to say "no" until they find a more reasonable carrier to work with.

I have heard the same storey from others who had the same problem with the factory, so at this moment your source is better as they have got the delivery "sorted".

Before the change in DHL policy, spare parts from the FWB factory were cheap to ship and delivered very quickly by DHL. I have had things sent by "others" since the change - no problem - but FWB are playing strictly to the rules.

Maybe as a manufacturer they get less leaway to work with DHL as they know exactly what they manufacture?

    Zooma,

You could still have placed your order for the spare parts ?

...then asked them which German shop had that barrel in stock... (see Fwb web site for closest shop)

Called that shop/ email them...asked if OK to send the barrel to UK, and that you just spoke to Fwb about....they can call Fwb, order the part for you, and presto, Its mailed off to you from that shop !

Every one is happy...even if that shop, has to do a small mark up..youre still quids in..

Look , these guys sell Weihrauch HW100 barrels: http://www.sportwaffen-schneider.de/...s_model/page/6

    - Are they going to turn away business from UK ?

    No

-Would they be breaking German law exporting the HW100 barrel to UK ?

    No

-Do they want my cash ?

    Yes

-Do they HAVE to use German post/DHL ?

    No

    - Can they use other German couriers like HERMES, or DPD ?

    Yes

    - Is it against UK law, to receive inbound from Europe pressure parts, barrels etc..?

    NOT AT ALL !

Zooma, just shop around like me....you'll end up getting everything you want ...as if you were buying long distance in UK...

or email Bogdan at www.Kimla.de , as I did, who got all the parts for me. Am going to be getting more from him shortly...so dont be afraid, as I'll ask him, if another UK chap contacted him...ie: you, about your Fwb Pistol barrel...go on...just give him a go

PS: DHL 's account or client is Fwb...Fwb can give them the V sign (up yours), and cancel/switch the account at the end of the year...how do I know ? , I worked in large corporate companies...and Its policy for them to end the contract at years end, or whenever, or with cause, if that corporate company can not conduct business because of policy change at DHL/German post...if I were with the Legal & Compliance team at Fwb Corp., I would advise the Board & managers to stop dealing with DHL, ride out the contract till year end, then invite bidders..like Hermes or DPD...

Thanks JG - I will do - no problem.

.but why on earth don't Feinwerkbau get this sorted out for themselves as well?

If their own German dealers can do it - why can't they?

Meanwhile I will do as you suggest as the factory delivery charges ( other than for small packet parts like screws etc) are just plain silly and make no sense at all.
