I shoot 22 bench F class go stalking, but last week I tried on of these umarex cp88 on steel plates, and although the bang wasnt there it took me back to when I was a UKPSA range officer in the 80s. I seem to have caught the bug I was thinking of getting a CP88 because they have good reports. In the spec for these guns it says the 6 inch barrel is 10 fps faster than the 4", are they more accurate than the 4", Also to start with I would like to buy a used one to see how I go on but there do'snt seem to be any advertised if anyone would like to sell one please pm me also any one with any comments on the sport or the guns will be welcome.
I love my country, but fear my government

Introduce yourself (your post above would be an excellent intro - we mainly started with rifles & got hooked on pistols later ) and let it be known you're looking for a CP88 Competition, on the UBC forum you'll have to have 10 posts under your belt and ask an admin for sales section access but don't let that put you off

Shameless plug -
It's the UBC October Meet at the end of the month - it's a cracking day out with the opportunity to shoot Iron Plates, 6 Yard target in Spring, Pre-Charged, CO2 and SSP, other timed 6 Yard shoots like the UBC Police Pistol where speed and accuracy are both essential, Paddy's side shoots, some of which require Speed, Accuracy AND Memory!
You get to see (and often try) a bigger range of pistols than I've ever seen in one place before!
