    ROHM Cylinder Testing

Just flicking through my ROHM manual, I noticed that the air cylinders have an operating date, after which they should not be used unless they have been tested.

Mine expires in 2012, so is still in. However, the manual recommends returning the cylinder to the manufacturer for testing.

I have been on the ROHM site, but cannot find any information.

Has anybody had a cylinder tested in this country? If so, any recommended places?

    Kind regards,

    Phil

It's a german requirement (10 years from manufacture).

This does not apply to the UK, although some competitive events may have a similar requirement, notably those run by the ISSF.

Here's the page from the Weihrauch manuals which will cover the same ground as that in the Rohm manual.

So unless you plan to use the Rohm outside of the UK, or enter ISSF events then there is no need to have it tested, unless you believe it to be damaged etc.

Many thanks for the reply, most helpful.

It's quite difficult to get information about ROHM onlune, there doesn't seem to be much about, especially with no English version of their website.

    Kind regards,

    Phil
