miopta 4=32 as thay made in cz as well chekoslvacear lol ???????????????
thanks to a member of the forum, i have just taken reciept of a s200.
now the dilemma begins. the only sights i have are for my big springers.
they might look a bit daft on such a dinky little thing.
could get away with the 3-9by40 silver antler, but the 4-12by50 simmons almost drowns the poor bggr.
any suggestions on a small scope with big attributes.
has anyone tried a pistol scope on such a small rifle?.
didn`t realise how small they were probably fit two in big berthas fleece bag.
it will become a 210, so what size mounts will i need, does the mag make a difference to mount choice.

the small Simmons or AGS mini scopes maybe?
A pistol scope would be no good as they have long eye relief
I've just got Walther 4x32 with PA 30mm tube illuminated (centre only)reticule + mounts £50 posted.
Its 11" long and very good for such a cheap scope mounted it on my 335.
I had a Tasco 3-12x42 ( I think) on my S200, it was'nt too long.

Don't know why - my Mrs used to have a Nikko Stirling 10-50x60 on hers!!Originally Posted by max headroom

I have a 50mm Obj scope on mine with medium mounts and it clears the 10 shot conversion no problem. I'll get some piccys if you like and email them over to you so you can see what your 'little' baby could look like.Originally Posted by max headroom

I had a Hwake Airmax high mounts for alloence for the 10 shot mag...
Used mine for HFT and hunting... fantasic scope... very clear... IMHO I will say its the better than some of the £200-£300 scopes I have seen and used!!
took the simmons off bertha and fitted it to the new boy on the block.
it doesn`t realy look that bad.
it seems to balance things well also. i`m one for aesthetics, if it don`t look right, i won`t like it.
big scopes fit big guns.
i think i will think again.
try a jsr 4x32 mini in high mounts or one of the ags mini scope range. they are perfectly suited to the s 200. i have a jsr mini on my own s200 and its perfect .the lens quality is a1 .you need high mounts to clear the magazine housing.ps. all these scopes are mil dot reticles, invaluable ,in my opinion on a hunting rifle.
would a 4by do. i have only ever used sights that have a variable magnification. ecxept for open sights obviously.
langy, can you get miopta in england, never seen them advertised.
get gun trader . meopta are manly for rim center fire , but if you get the 4=32 artemis 2000 , you will wounder why you botherd with out else. a good surplier will have them , paralaxt to 30 yards, a 4* or a 6 * is all you need for hunting in my op . cost about 120 to 150 , the 6by 42 180 to 250

I've just fitted an Accushot 4-16 x 56 to my Mk1 S200. With the sunshade (which really helps in low winter sun, when we get some) it is about 2/3rds the length of the rifle, even with the AA silencer fitted. With an XVD NV adaptor on the back, and a Tracer Mini Pro lamp on top the rifle looks somewhat errrr, dwarfed - but what the hell, it shoots like a dream, which at the end of the day is all that matters. Using high mounts the 10 shot mag system is no problem, but I'm still waiting for the long-awaited sliding rail mount from Soviet Bazaar to allow me to adjust eye relief between day and NV use.
langy. stop taking the micheal. just found out what DNA stands for.
then you spoil it roight.
