    M.E. PARA... anyone remember this?

    Hi All,

Having a bit of a reminisce.

Anyone remember/used to/still own a M.E. PARA Brocock pistol using the BAC system.

They were 'outlawed' when the BAC were made illegal but from memory, and please correct me if I'm wrong, people with FAC could still own them??

    Best,

    Rich

Had a very long play with one in a gunshop once, used a half sized "short" TAC. It was basically a copy of a Walther PPK, and completely useless.

You had to recock the pistol after every shot which dumped that very expensive TAC onto the ground! Not good.

Ended up with the Walther PPK/S instead, which I still use regularly and is way more fun!

I had (from memory!) an ME38 pistol - Modelled on the 38 Special.

They were very nice-to-handle guns, but the effort required in loading 6 shots soon took away any fondness for me I suppose the ram charger would have made things more pleasant, though.

I sold mine before the ban was announced... Bit lucky, that!

I remember them bu I never owned that model.

I had a 4" Cobra and the Predator bolt action rifle which I though was absolutely awesome :

I had one in chrome / black grips .

Great fun and accurate was how I remember mine to be .

A shame it didnt blowback and you had to manually recock - dumping the cart in the undergrowth for you to have to find , or the dog to swallow !!

Those tacs soon got damaged landing on hard surfaces and being bashed and pulled around by the slide / ejector .

I also had the little sniper rifle ( from day of the jackal ) and several nice revolvers . A mate had a Lee Enfield converted to fire them .

Towards the end of the pre charged tacs likespan , all sorts of interesting models and hybrids were coming out or in development .

I remember an AK47 all ready to go which cycled the rounds manually like a modern centrefire straight pull .

Those Tacs were a pain to charge and often went wrong and needed re sealing etc but were an interesting and different type of airgun to play with .

I had one but sold it before the ban. Still have a Specialist and Predator on ticket, although I haven't used them in years...
