    I think it's mostly Steyrs.

I must admit I'm curious as to why you'd ask that question.

I've been trying to find out of the Chinese make any good match pistols. Shanghai Air Guns used make the SS2 pistol ( FWB copy) which up to very recently on their website but it has not been made for a long time. So my thought were if the Chinese Comp Shooters use Chinese air guns it may be worth investigating - further for a cheap pistol.

I'm trying to think of a make with a name they'd pronounce funny so I can make a racial stereo-typical joke.

    And failing

Nice idea but I think at that level of shooting you're only going to find the very best PCP pistols regardless of nationality.

I thought you were wanting to try out for the team.

Having seen an SS2 up close and personal you wouldn't want one - as Ben Franklin said "The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of a low price is forgotten"

There were two 65 copies, the SS2 was a bit suspect, but the Huanqui Titan is quite good, from reports as good as the FWB.
Certainly the tolerances of the Titan are good enough for genuine FWB bits to fit and always the masochist I have one and am restoring it, so we will be able to compare it to the real thing when its done.
P.S. I'm fairly sure the Chinese use Steyr or perhaps Steyl?
    Best regards

In the old Cold War days the Commie countries would have to front Commie equipment at the Games to show that their technology was as good as the Western stuff, Haenel went to great lengths to make a single stroke pneumatic rifle so the Soviet teams could be competitive.

Now the whole world is a giant capitalist free-for-the so-called Chinese Communists are using the best guns for the job because they want to WIN AT ALL COSTS ....! - even by showing that Chinese technology is not (yet) supreme in all areas. Hence no SMK products in the Olympic lineup. Poor SMK!
