Can you go to a PCP ?
My son is fast approaching 13, and he wants to go shooting with Dad. Can any one recommend a good gun for him to statrt out with. I use a 97k, but at 9.5 lbs I think it's just too heavy.
Thanks in advance Rob.

Rob.
Why not bring him along to Pontefract Air Rifle Club, Redfearn FTC or Emley FTC one weekend and let him try a few different rifles?
At Ponty we've got quite a wide selection of club guns he could have a go with, and on Sundays there are always a load of members at the club who can "fill in the gaps".
Paul.
I'll second that, come along to Ponty.
Lots of different Guns and not one is the same combination really.
Plenty of colours to choose from too, if you buy a Steyr!
Loads of experience too, they have helped me tons in the past.
Some great advice and a toilet with soft toilet paper too.
See you soon.

If you can't make it to the Shooting venue try going to your local Gun shop. Ask for a selection of rifles they think would be ok for yourt son. For weight accuracy and price i can reccomend the air arms S200 around £245 nice lightweight and accuracy is great a real good all rounder. I would reccomend changing the plastic components when you get the time and inclanation as the trigger and bolt are made of plastic. Although really they should be ok i have heard a few ham fisted people snapping them.

If going PCP...
AirArms S200
If going Springer
HW 95
IMO
my s410 or my brothers s200 for sale mail me if your interested, cant go very wrong with air arms.
i second the s200. just acquired one and it is so light compared to the superstar,i can use it even with a dislocated collar bone.
if it`s springer you want, look out for a paratrooper, another very light rifle.
