standard inside matey, he bought the silencer in 97 / 98.
Well I've seen HW80s go recently on here for up around £275 and above when the Sportsman are selling then new for £280 with full warranty
It's worth what someone is prepared to pay and it seems some people are prepared to pay daft money for them here, but with it needing a re-blue at least; or new barrel I'd price it at £140.

I was offered one some months ago by a dealer for £100, I'd say it was 8 out of 10 in .22. Currently Micks Guns website has a mint MK1 80 in .22 for £275.
So £120 to £140 but that painted barrel really does it no favours.
i would agree with £120 - £140

Hi,i would also go with around £140 as it has the v-tech silencer etc fitted.I sold a very close to mint 1983 model a couple of weeks back at £220 posted.

£100 for the rifle if he is lucky; sell the extras toys separately to get some value. Sorry, there are just too many tired rough rifles out there even if they shoot ok. Springers are old hat.
Collectable examples, and the HW80 MKI's are, must be almost if not mint. Then they are worth a premium. Tat is tat, and costs too much to rectify unless you enjoy doing it. Fixed and tarted up will always be worth far less than a factory fresh example.

Opportunity is missed by most people, because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.
I shoot a FWB Sport and wear an old hat; shouldn't get in the way of business though. I've indoctrinated my son to springers too but the flat cap was too much
