    Crosman MK1

I considering trying to buy a Crosman Mark 1 pistol, but wonder if they will shoot any better than a modern 2240?
They certainly look better, but at 2 or 3 times the price of the 2240 I'm in 2 minds about what to buy.

    Can anyone advise me?

The Mk1 is an entirely different class of engineering to the 22xx series.
It looks better than the 22xx because the 22xx are "Pipe and bar" engineering, good "Pipe and bar" engineering though
    I was looking for a Mk1 but found a Smith & Wesson 79g first!

Hah. I have one of those on my list as well
    Mk1, 600 and 78g all feature near the top - I favour .22s

Not a MK1 but I have a 600 and 22xx are not built anywhere near as good.

I would have 60's or 70's Crosman over a modern one anyday even if it had all the extras added.

    Crosman MK 1

As mentioned all the old US CO2 pistols were the best ever produced. Seems they took a lot of time and care in design. The Crosman 600 took 4 years to develop.
I have the MK 2 , 600, 677. The Smith and Wesson 78G and 79G are also brilliant performers and lovely to shoot. My favourites are the Schimel and a Challenger Arms Plainsman (not pictured). You will not go wrong buying a MK 1 also an investment.

    2 x SCHIMELS

For £275 and twisting your arm I could rectify that, or I could re-join as 2smiths !
