Strongest CHEAP air rifle

Anyone any ideas on the strongest cheap air rifle available? Just had a phone call from an aquaintance and he's got through 10 SMK's in a week on a fairground stall

He's looking at Gamo now to see if they last any longer. To be fair, the SMK's cost him about £30 each but that's not cheap if they only last a few days.

They don't need to be accurate

here we go again, cue the trolls... how on earth is he going through them exactly? what is "strong"? how are they breaking? and please refrain from calling them "smks" as it gives the wrong interpretation. please use the model you are referring to. I assume its the b2. to be honest if he's having them used many times every day as a professional tool he is going to have to buy one to fit the job, an occasional back garden plinker is not going to cut it. what does he class as "cheap"? i mean what's the mans budget? if ithey are going to have that much use he is going to have to spend some money on them

Should last for ever with regular maintenance

I don't know the model and I doubt he does. As far as I know (they're down in Hyde park) the pins are breaking on cocking.
Price wise I think "cost effective" is what he's after bearing in mind they will only be used over Christmas then stashed / lost.

Too expensive, the job doesn't justify the expense so I've been told.

If it is something like a pin on the cocking lever breaking, buy a f' kin big box of the pin's & change them every other day!!
there's a reason cheap goods are cheap, they're made from cheap materials.

As I say, I've not seen them so I don't know if it's possible to change them easily or quickly. For all I know the "pin" maybe a link.

I have told him not to bin them but bring them back up with him when he's back at the yard.

Or you could get stainless steel nuts and bolts the right diameter/length and substitute the pins. They would not break

Hi, if you do decide to get a tin full of spares, I'd try and source them somewhere other than the importers. Had one of the underlevers to repair for a friends uncle, it only needed a trigger spring so I phoned the firm and asked for one. Was told it was going in the post and should be with me in a couple of days. I tell the gun owner that it's on it's way and that I should have his gun ready for the end of the week.
2 weeks later, no part. Phoned up, got told that the order must have been misplaced as the payment hadn't been processed. Give card details again and was told payment had gone thru and the part will be posted later that day.
1 week later I phoned again as it hadn't arrived and the owner of the gun was quite rightly concerned about things. Got the same story about payment not being processed etc. Waited an hour and phoned again, asked for someone in charge. Was put thru to a lady who I must stress was very helpful and polite. She explained that the part could only be sent to an RFD as it was company policy. I explained it was only a spring but she stuck to her guns. I thought I'd ask about the terry style sprung clip for the underlever and if I could buy one of these. Yes was the answer ? I then asked what about being told that the order had been taken etc but the parts never appearing. That one couldn't be answered.
I won't bother with anything to do with them now. I hope this doesn't make me a troll but I'm posting it because it really happened to me and I hope it may save someone else a lot of time and trouble.
One thing tho, if your mate goes ahead and buys some better quality guns, it could cost him more in prizes in the long run as the kids will be able to hit things then !
I'll go back under my bridge now.
