    Tawd Vale Does It Again

Just got back from Tawd Vale after another cracking HFT shoot. Atmosphere, the course, the weather and the shooters themselves were brilliant.

    Catering was excellent as usual.

Won by our very own Elmerfud (Dave Ramshead)(PCP's) and Jeff Reynolds(Recoilers)

Summer Series starts next month 27th March No dates clash with any UKAHFT Round or any NWFTA Shoots so no excuses. Details from SteveH or Andy Scouser (On Here)

Couldn't agree more Steve. Great course, fab weather and smashing people. The air was filled with the sound of laughter, sizzling bacon and falling targets - oh and the odd ding from a faceplate! Looking forward to the summer season. See you all next month.

Thanks and a burst of applause for those who organised today's comp'.

PS - good to see the UKAHFT rules being implemented.
The Mayor: Intent? How did you establish that?
Harry Callahan: When a man is chasing a woman through an alley with a butcher’s knife and a hard-on, I figure he isn’t out collecting for the Red Cross.

I nearly hit a big hen pheasant on the way home, that would have made tasty kebabs for the barbie next week

Yep was a good course layout although there where a few suprises (i.e a 48 yard, 52 and 55 yard target ) We tried to make the course as hard as possible but enjoyable and well done to the 50+ scorers....

Next month is Zero Tolerance though so UKAHFT "full" rules apply... All add ons etc as in the rules here....... must be removed

Nice to see all the new and old faces keeping their eye in.. Well done to Gemma Taylor, who had to put up with me this morning, with a decent score of 46... and she missed some easy points and I know she should have finished with a 50 ex 60... (More attention to detail needed, i.e. look for the shot).

Thanks to the resident bacon butty cooks (sorry blonde moment, forget names)

Well Done Jeff top springer score...

Must admit....yet another class day out at Tawd Vale.
Course this time round was probably the hardest yet devised(there are some SICK course setter outers out there, we know who you are!! )
but was even more enjoyable than the last few comps!!
    (I must be a masochist!! )
Well done to the winners, but just as important, well done to all that attended, with such support TV can only go from strength to strength.
As always nice to see the 'usual suspects', and a very well done to 'Steven' and 'Leighton' who had the misfortune to have to put up with me around the course on their 1st ever HFT event and got decent scores using .22's as well!!
Can't wait for the next one and the start of the "Tawd Vale HFT League".
Ian, you need a medal for putting up with Gemma. and no wonder I plated those 3!

    Cheers.

Yep, another good day, its becoming the norm now.
I thought it was a very challenging, yet enjoyable course with quite a few cheeky pegs.... i just need to get back on form now (and get the 400 back upto 30ft/lb for the long shots, only joking!)

roll on the next one, and the start of the TV HFT yearly comp. practice practice practice.

I've got an excuse! I don't drive, therefore I can never get to all these places.I rely on a lift from a friend to get me to Redfearns.
And I'm a crap shot anyway

Isn't Geoff's TX an SR, in which case he should be in the non-recoiling class?

    Great day and great shooting.
Hardest HFT stylee course I have had the fortune or misfortune to shoot but one of the most enjoyable.
Great place to shoot and good blokes to shoot with.
I wouldnt hesitate to recommend anyone to go have a go on the 27th March.
