Trigger lock questions

Morning All,

I'm going to get a rifle cabinet, but in the interim I intend to fit a trigger lock. I have a Theoben Evolution with the safety catch in from of the trigger.

Are the universal trigger locks still suitable or do I need to find a specific brand ?

Do trigger locks meet the requirements of the law regarding safety, protecting use by children etc ?

Trigger locks do not comply to the law as access to the rifle can still be obtained.
