ROCHFORD AIR GUN CLUB OPEN COMP 8TH JAN ( formely .)

.....THW has now changed its name due to the location of the club, as we have now been in Rochford for nearly six years at our wood, the management decided to change the name, as this helps to explain where the club is, to all the new members it is attracting at the moment. Anyway, that explained, this is what is happening next sunday the 8th january.

This will be our usual open comp, a 30 target course around our wood, well stocked plinking range and zero lane for adjustments!

On the menu for lunch will be:- Chilli and spud or wrap
or Baked beans and cheese in a spud,
or mix and match, whatever you fancy!

There will also be sausage rolls and spicy dip and box of biccies for dunking, not forgetting the crisps and cakes!

AND ALL FOOD AND TEA, COFFEE ETC... ARE FREE TO ALL MEMBERS AND GUESTS(BUT CANS OF DRINK ARE 50P)
    Safety brief 10-15am
    comp starts straight after

    See you there!

Well I might be forced to partake of a small smidgeling of port with the smallest drop of brandy.
Mind you it looks a bit fishy if I twist my own arm, don't it?

Uncle Albert, you said it yourself, that your performance is usually better after a small one or two the night before!

Quite a sadistic course today but enjoyable as always. At least there wasn't a hurricane or blizzard this time. I rather miss the old "mole" target we used to find dug into the course - a real candidate for NV rigs.

Great day's shooting as usual in mild conditions. Some very difficult targets, more so than usual. Good craic though. Well done the course setters, Tony and Chris.

I did notice the bluebells are starting to come through again though. Back to targets in the air. I have to say that when hunting bunnies, I have yet to see them up in trees yet. Maybe I shall have to look a bit more carefully in future.

Food excellent, as usual. Well done Karen.
