    Webley alecto power.

I have one of these,it does around 2.3 fpe on 1 pump and 3.6 fpe on 2.3 pumps makes no difference you can here the valve dumping the air.
When being pumped I noticed that air is coming out of the tiny inlet hole at the front of the air cylinder, this doesn't seem right to me.I have had a look at the seals in the pump rod and they seem ok.It seems to blow off air on 1,2 or 3 pumps no matter if pumped fast or slow.I have lubed it with pelgun oil with no discernible difference.I have read these do around 3 fpe on 1 pump, around 5 fpe on 2 and 5.5 fpe or so on 3 so I'm at a bit of a loss with what to do.
I don't really want to strip it right down as I can make do with it as it is,just wondering if there is something amiss.

Assuming this is relatively new - and that your measurements are accurate - take it back - as not suitable for purpose and explain why.

Mine came with a Chrono print out and test target/sheet from the factory - showing 180m/s on three pumps - with Crossman Pointed (7.4 grain) - that's 5.6 to 5.7 FPE... - have you still got the test sheet?

They are adjustable - but it's a hellacious faff.

Had a rethink last night on this and adjusted the valve screw. It's now averaging 2.1 fpe on 1 pump,3.6 fpe on 2 and 5.1 fpe on 3 pumps on hobby pellets. These are light pellets so at those power levels it should be ok even with heavier ones.
It seems a nice spread of different power levels over the 3 pumps and I was pleasantly surprised at the result.

You have an illegal weapon if your air pistol is over 6 foot pounds.
If you apply for an fac the police will take you and your pistol away.

I thought these sort of threads were not allowed on here.

You may notice that this thread is now shorter than it recently was.

Discussion of raising power to illegal levels is a distinct no on here please.

    No penalties have been applied.

    Power Electo

You have a fire arms (FAC) section but remove postings that only talk about guns that can go over the limit? dont you think that's a contradiction?
