    Original Model 50E Stocks

I have in my collection two Original Model 50E rifles ,but one has a slightly slimmer stock and wider finger grooves than the other could one be possibly earlier than the other.

    Original 50E

Here's mine next to my series 5 MK3. The Original dates from the early 60's. Stamped Made in Germany with the rectangular lever button. Earlier rifles were stamped foreign and the earliest had the round lever button and machined from solid lever.

I think the date stamp started in 1964. Garvin on here has a very good Diana Website with loads of info on these rifles.

Both these rifles are about the same age, I wonder if I were around then which I would have bought. The mk3 was averaging 554fps with Milbro Caledonian and the 50E 543fps.

My stock is identical to the top rifle in your pics.
