    Air Pistol Scope or Red Dot

    Could any member advise as i'm new to pistol shooting.
    I have a HW 45 pistol and would like some advise before buying one.
    What would be better;
    Red Dot or Normal Pistol scope.
    Also any advise on which ones to go for.

    Thanks in advance.

    Good choice of pistol, enjoy.

    If you want pin-point precision then get a Pistol Scope.

    For quick aim-and-shoot get a Red Dot. I have three Red dots fitted on my pistols varying from £30 to £300 and none will give them will perform like a Pistol Scope. But, I don't do Bulls Eye shooting.

    Good luck, Phil

    It depends what you want to do with it as well. I can't get on with red dots as I just don't find them accurate enough shooting out to 25 yards (for me). I have scopes on both of my pistols and much prefer them.

    You really need to try some though and see what suits you as there will be people who swear by one or the other.
