Hello from Portsmouth, Hampshire

Hello my name is Phil I am from Portsmouth in Hampshire

Last week my son William (Will aged 13) and I joined Havant rifle and pistol club, so after 2 weeks of shooting pcp air rifles I thought it time to join a forum.

I drive a 1970 MG Midget when the weather is fine so 2 weeks after acquiring my MG I joined the MG forum and have found the help and advice invaluable.

Will has shot more air rifles than I have, a friend has an old .22 springer which Will loves destroying coke cans with, as Will has shown huge interest in shooting joining the Havant club seemed a sensible move to make sure he (and I ) are safe and understand how to use and keep an air rifle safely.

At the gun club we have been shooting an Air Arms 410 which we both thought was great until today we shot a Weihrauch HW100 which is now a firm favourite. I have decided to wait a few weeks and try as many rifles as possible before entering the second hand market for a rifle of our own.

I am looking forward to reading and posting on this forum over the coming weeks, months and years.
