Webley Service MKII serial number

Could somebody tell me where to find the serial number is on the barrel?

Does the barrel need removing to find it?

Hello and welcome to the BBS . Mine was on the trigger guard, but they do vary iirc. Don't worry though, as the Webley MkII expert "Binners" will be along soon enough to put you right if I am wrong.

Far from being an expert, but yes the barrel has to be removed, or at least on the 2nd and 3rd pattern do. The number should be found just after the locating bar underneath. You may even find batch numbers too...
