Hi Steve Harris; new member from Cheltenham with a question. Are there any other shooters / hunters in this area?
I'm looking to purchase a new scope; narrowed it down to the following any advice would be appreciated. MTC Mamba Lite 3x12 by 44m or Hawke Varmint SF 3x12 by 44mm with 1/2mill dots. the scope is to be used with a NV Addon either Pulsar Challenger GS 1x20 or Cobra Merlin; not sure as new to NV. As both addons are Gen 1 will 3x12mag be enough or do I need to up to 4x16mag.

Hi steve, welcome to the forum, for nv the MTC Mamba lite is ideal 3x12x44 is fine
i use one with my gen-1 and gen-2 addons on both rimfires and fac airguns
infact steve most of my guns have MTC scopes fitted they are great value for the money
very good optics, backed up by 1st class customer service, i am i might add just a very satisfied

You really are a busy member; offering advice. You just helped me with Pulsar v Merlin and IR advice; and you didn't realise it but it's me again Steve Harris. Thanks for informing me that Mamba lite is fine for NV in 3x12x44; nice to know that they can handle FAC at 3x12mag.
