    Hard case?

Can anyone recommend a decent hard case? I already have one of the Flambeau double gun hard cases but find that my pro-target swims in it a bit.
Depth and breadth are fine but the length is well OTT.

The Pro-T looks like the one listed second down here and has a Nikko big 60 plonked on top.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

sorry Thommo the old case will house the S410K and an old Webley MKIII which both fit in nicely. I can pay with undying gratitude if you like

The Gun Gear XLT48 is very good - wide and deep and about 5 inches shorter than the Flambeau. The Gun Gear fits sideways in my car boot - the Flambeau meant back seats had to be folded down.

I guess that this is the baby then unless someone comes up with anything else.

Pod, glad to hear that it fits in a car without needing to put the back seats down. I was hoping that might be the case.

I am looking at buying a hard case as well (it will be used for transporting the rifle by airlines, rather then storage), and the GunGuard XLT48 (around £60) does look like a good buy, or the GunGuard SE (around £30). Gunguard Deluxe is also nice, but quite expensive (around £80). Napier also does some hard cases, but they are expensive (>100).

What interests me is would any of these cases take a rifle (like a HW77K with a 6-24x40 scope) in an Armadillo GunGear Gun bag or other padded gun bag?

    Has anyone tried this?

The reason I would like to do this is when travelling to shoots abroad it is also nice to have a 'soft' case rather the lugging the hard case around, and the 'soft case' provides extra protection once the gun is in the hard case.

I know that a Pelican case would work, but they are too expensive...
