Mak was modded by myself around 10 yrs ago, the barrel unscrews so you can put it in a lathe and turn the thread

bluing has worn off since, but the silencer is very effective

Have the umarex [walther] ppk/s gasgun and it is indeed a most accurate wee gun-;stripped down shows smart miniaturised workings for the gasgun but no mods. apparently possible ,however a drop here and there of crosman [pellgunoil] in valve stem and striker-pin proved a winner also a drop in fillervalve blasted straight into valve with fresh bulb is bound to have done some good~this oil is specially formulated for comp.air/gas guns and clings to rubber seals also coating valve-seat without being too gooey..yet we are not satisfied totally and are ordering shortly an old-fashioned [baikal]makarov and some [HundN] .177 ball (heard the [gamo] is not too hot)-;[HundN] have been making all sizes lead ball for many years and feel confident their ammo won't disappoint tho there's no doubt [gamo] worked in our old [gamatic] repeater with the tube mag along top receiver-this model used to be the paramilitary- style [asi]paratrooper I think.
Reckon the lighter cast-slide on current gas-mak will use up less gas to blowback and that must be a bonus but can anyone explain what makes the various all-machined mods. more attractive..shoul;d be most graTEFUL if folks can shed light on this before we go ahead purchase brandnew model MP-654k-;incidentally have seen latest [baikal]gasgun in recent [airgunner] and it's more angular in styling with hopper for ball but think it a tad cheesy-looking.regards.torville.
