they are now prohibited s5 weapons and unless held on an fac had to be handed in for destruction or registered on the certificate by 30/4/2004!

The safari owner should contact their local police or firearms licensing department and hope they will allow it to be handed in without prosecution.

Or take it into the Shed and Chop it up

Many Tac Guns was chopped up by owners as they did not want
to hand them in to the Police - Goverment

Especially as you was not getting paid for there loss like past Full Bore Pistols

The Law is that you do not have a Working Tac Gun unless licensed

To keep it or any working part does open you up for prosecution
As stated @ time the offence if a Minimum of 5 Years and a life time Ban from ever owning another Gun of any Sort.

But as Tac Guns was never registered to owners , they will not be aware that you had it.

Some Police Forces will take Action for having it off ticket
Even if offering to hand it in for destruction

Others accept that not enough was done to advise the owners of the Change in Law regarding Tac Gun/s.

Do not think about passing it to another user, as this will guarantee
    you getting prosecuted.
If at anytime it was proved to have come from you.

I agree, that'd be the safest course of action...
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

Due to the way police are these days , i would agree with clubshot , chop it up and render it useless. the complications this possably unaware seller would face if he was caught is crimianl in its self

if you can email him please beg him to knackered it beyond use and forget about it
