If that is an imperial size (inches) then it is too big for me.
I wear a 42" jacket and have just bought a nice used Anshutz brown leather jacket "my size" - but it seems like my size 42 is a bit bigger than the jackets size 42 as I feel ( and look) like an "organ grinders monkey" as I struggle to get it on ( and off).
It should fit a 38 - 40" person a treat, and although I need a larger jacket, I think your 48" will be too big for me - but thanks for the answer - I will keep looking!

I think a lot of the problems come from a similarity with British inch sizes and the continental metrics.
Kurt Thune is metric so a 48 metric will be close to a 38 inch British. BUT! We have had several new jackets in our club recently from Gehmann that bear no ressemblance at all to any size including Gehmanns own size chart so there does also seem to be a bit of a lottery factor.
Good shooting
