I read somewhere that all new Alecto`s have black internals, but I have no idea why they have switched.... maybe it is cheaper to produce than the earlier chrome one.????
Pete.
Just put post on UBC bout this so thought id try on here too. My Alecto has got black piston and valve, instead of silver finish. I like it, so no problem. Anyone know why black. Its the only one I've seen.

Replied to your thread on UBC, but for BBS' benefit:

I have had mine for about 7 months and it is all Black Also. Really like this gun. Got a couple of thousand round through it and it is still going strong.

mk2 has black internals and slot behind the front sight to fit red dot
I've just ordered an Alecto at the w/e. As I have to get it on a ticket, I'm waiting to get the details before filling in my fac, has anyone else got the high powered version? If so, can you give a few details? I hope the one I get is black, I'm not fussed on shiny bits, it's the same with my motorbike, alloy and less chrome as possible!
There is a higher powered version available with a longer barrel that you could put a silencer onto...
I have no idea whre you would acquire it, but IMO being able to put a silencer on this gun would make it the Dogs.
They are loud.
