I think I prefer a Wealth of Webleys and a Bounty of BSAs.

Heard a couple of guys standing beside me chatting and they reckoned that the investment potential for classic firearms has another 5 years to go before it peaks! Good reason to spend heavily at the Phoenix!!

Seriously though, some of the really old/antique kit was certainly expensive and you'd have to be very sure before spending that sort of cash.

At my local gunshop this morning a seemingly nice man turned up with a large oily (of course ) shoebox.
" I have had these for over 40 years "

We waited breathless ( I told you I have had this cold ) and yes! an old Junior a Senior a Mark one, a Premier.
All intact but rusted to hell and not working!
What are they worth he asked.

Thats what gets to me about Webley pistols
Which has nothing to do with the pistols!

Did he manage to sell them? How much for? If not, where are they now? I can run them a nice oil bath and leave them for a 3 day soak to get them loosened up.
The South of England has 2 good things, the M1 and the A1. Both will take you to Yorkshire.

    Harry Mac.
He didnt sell them but I sent him to another local gunshop who are more into old stuff.
They are going to restore them and sell them on with a payment to him.
The best was the Mark 1 in .177 and I await a restored price quote as I could be tempted.

    Despite what I said above!
