I believe patriotism comes from the heart. Patriotism is voluntary. It is a feeling of loyalty and allegiance that is the result of knowledge and belief.

    The Gat.

... is the most radical. The root, the pure system. Comprising the basic essentials and the minimum of moving parts. A mechanical system which flys forwards, then stops dead. In so doing it converts a part of its energy into compressing air which is directed to the base of a projectile so to prolong the effect of the stored energy- that which was initially invested in the compressing of the spring.

If by 'radical' the interpretation intended was 'wacky'- then the Tell 3 takes the prize.

    If 'ground-breaking' it's the FWB 80.

By radical I was thinking revolutionary or groundbreaking..... but 'wacky' is good too!

    Hi,

Check out the Healthways Top Score 175:
    http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=hea...w=1022&bih=540

If I get a chance I'll strip mine down & post the pics in the collectable section, the mechanism is very ingenious for a pot metal bb pistol - the spring & piston are in the grip, there's 30 odd BB's in the reservoir around the barrel, & every time its cocked by pulling the barrel up & back, it's reloaded.

The springs only 4" long so it's not a powerhouse - it couldn't make a hole in plasterboard - which is a bloody good thing because this weapon was the deciding factor in the Airfix wars of the mid to late 70's in my bedroom...

    Regards
