What's the average power output of a co2 pistol?

A point of interest, what's the average power output of a say; Walther CP88 or CP99 or a Beretta? I reckon it's about 2-3ftlbs, but would I be badly wrong?

The more powerful ones are the 6inch 88 and S&W.
    Along with the Desert Eagle.

What would you figure the power is on these, GN?

Iv just bought a Crossman 2240 single shot pistol and the dealer recons they run at 5.5 which is quite high for a co2 so he tells me. Packaging says 460fps in.22 calibre which sould quite good to me. Tim

    Jim

    DEagle 444 fps

    CP88 6 inch 418 fps

    S&W 6 inch 414 fps

By comparison standard CP 88 is 370 fps

I have all three of the above and the difference shows in that they hit harder and go further.
The CP88 6 will repeatedly hit cans at 20 yards and was a bit of a revelation.

But The S&W 79G from the 70s does over 500 fps and its .22 brother the 78G does 450 fps.

My 78G is possibly my favourite co2 pistol.
