    2240 trigger spring sourcing?

    does anybody know where i can get a crosman 2240 trigger spring to make the pull lighter?

    (not the trigger and hammer kit though please)

    i use lighter springs in my crosmans and i'd be happy to fit one of my springs for you but i'd let you try my triggers first.

    I'm in leicester so not too far for you if you interested.

    g mac does a nice trigger adjustable thingy makes it nice and light about a £5

    do you use a spring not specific for the crosman? (standard household style)

    just a light coil spring from a pack of springs

    I clipped a tiny amount off of my trigger spring to lighten it (about half a coil iirc) and it seemed to do the job. If you do this remember to take a very small amount off at a time; you can always take more off later but it is hard to stick back on!

    However you choose to lighten you trigger remember to test it thoroughly without a pellet in to make sure it will only fire when intended and not by accident
