    Valuation: pop out

I don't know much about this, and can't even remember how i came by it. Anyway, its not doing much for me, so I was minded to move it on. Does anyone have any idea how much would be a sensible proce to ask (or indeed have any information about it?

    Thanks in advance lads

    Its a Dolla Cub

Made in Germany in the 1920's by Langenham

There were 4 variations of the Dolla Cub, this is version 4 which dates it around 1929 - 1930

It should have "Made in Germany" stamped on one of its sides with "cub" on the other side

These go for around the £80 mark

It looks more like an Eisenwerke Gaggenau No. 2 to me. The Dolla Cub was patterned on this very same pistol.

Does it have its original screw in breech plug/pellet probe thingy (visible when pistol is cocked)? These are sometimes missing/replacements which I think would have quite a negative effect on value. Even complete I would have thought nearer £50 but it's only a guess.

Thanks lads. With a name to go on Griffiths book becomes much more informative. Judging from the single action pin, squared off trigger aperture, and a tang on the rear RHS grip, its a "Dolla" variant 3.

The tang, though its not come out well on the picture

There is a breech plug, whether it is the original I could not say,

but it looks very similar to Griffiths illustration on p68

There was one at the Carboot yesterday !
Looked complete & somewhat rusty, It had £15 on it, I am sure I could have got it for less , ( Not the kind of thing I would buy )

I never looked closely at it, It said " Dolla " on it ?
Maybe next sunday ? Cheers, Ged.

You missed a good buy there. I have examined many Dolla's of all kinds and never seen one actually marked Dolla.

It won't be any good to you Ged, you won't be able to adapt it to a pump up or Co2!
